Overview

The McGill pull-up is an exercise that targets the abdominal muscles, particularly the rectus abdominis or six-pack muscles. It is performed by hanging from a bar with a pronated grip (palms facing away from you) and then pulling your body up until your chin is above the bar. The key to this exercise is to keep your core engaged throughout the movement, so that you are not relying on momentum to lift your body. The McGill pull-up is a challenging exercise, but it is also very effective for building strong and defined abdominal muscles.
