Overview
The right calfspike sumo pulse is an exercise targeting the quadriceps muscles. It is performed by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and your toes turned out slightly. Then, you step forward with your right foot and lower your body into a lunge position, keeping your left knee behind your toes. At the bottom of the lunge, you drive through your right heel and extend your legs to return to the starting position. As you do this, you contract your quadriceps muscles and drive your heels into the ground. You then repeat the movement on the left side. This exercise is a great way to strengthen your quadriceps muscles and improve your balance and coordination.
