Overview

Bandresisted thread the needle is an exercise targeting the shoulders. It is a of the traditional thread the needle exercise that uses a resistance band to provide additional resistance. To perform the exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a resistance band in each hand. Bring your arms up in front of you so that they are parallel to the ground and the bands are taut. Then, step forward with one leg and rotate your torso so that your arms cross in front of your body. Bring your arms back to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
