Overview

The dumbbell bent over row is an exercise that targets the upper back muscles, particularly the latissimus dorsi and rhomboids. To perform the exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand. Bend over at the waist so that your torso is parallel to the floor and your knees are slightly bent. With your arms extended in front of you, pull the dumbbells up towards your chest, keeping your elbows close to your sides. Slowly lower the weights back to the starting position and repeat.
