Overview
The inandout straight plank is an exercise that targets the abdominal muscles, particularly the rectus abdominis or six-pack muscles. It is a of the traditional plank, and it is performed by starting in a standard plank position with your arms extended in front of you and your feet together. Then, you slowly lower your body down until your chest is just above the floor and your elbows are bent at a 90-degree angle. Hold this position for a few seconds, then slowly return to the starting position. Repeat this movement for the desired number of repetitions. The inandout straight plank is a challenging exercise, but it is also a very effective way to strengthen and tone your abdominal muscles.
