Overview

The alternating slow stepdown with chair is an exercise that targets the glutes. To do this exercise, you will need a chair or bench that is about kneeheight. Stand in front of the chair with your feet shoulder-width apart and your toes pointing forward. Step down onto the chair with your right foot, then slowly lower your left foot to the floor. Repeat this motion, alternating feet. Keep your core engaged and your back straight throughout the exercise. You should feel the burn in your glutes as you do this exercise.

Alternatives

These alternative exercises can be used as substitutes when the original exercise is unavailable or challenging to perform due to various reasons such as equipment limitations, injuries, or personal preferences.
