Overview

The keg load is an exercise that targets the lower back. To perform the keg load, you will need a heavy keg or weight plate. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the keg or weight plate in front of you with both hands. Bend your knees and lower your hips until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your back straight and core engaged. Drive through your heels and stand up explosively, lifting the keg or weight plate overhead. Lower the weight back to the ground and repeat.
