Overview

The Bulgarian split squat is a unilateral exercise that targets the quads. It is performed by starting in a lunge position with your back foot elevated on a bench or step. You then lower your body until your front knee is at 90 degrees and your back knee is almost touching the ground. You then push yourself back up to the starting position. This exercise can be performed with or without weights.
