Overview

The medicine ball overhead slam is an exercise that targets the upper back. To do this exercise, you will need a medicine ball and a sturdy surface to stand on. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the medicine ball in both hands at chest height. Hinge at your hips and knees and lower the ball toward the ground, then explosively extend your hips and knees to bring the ball overhead. Continue to slam the ball overhead for a set number of repetitions. The medicine ball overhead slam is a great way to build strength and power in your upper back.
